Even as a young child Emile's dream was to start an inn, and now this has become our reality.

The start of our adventure….

In search for a new life in a country with a warmer climate, more nature, peace, tranquillity and tasty food, we resigned our jobs in Holland and went to Italy in 2002. We got the unique opportunity to manage a small country estate in the hart of Italy, in Le Marche. It was not just the Italian landscape or the beautiful medieval cities that enchanted our hearts. We thoroughly enjoyed our guests who came stressed and tired and who, within one or two weeks returned home reborn and full of new energy.

It became apparent that we shared the same heart's desire: pampering and taking care of people. That's why, when we returned to Holland, we went searching for our own country estate in Le Marche ('Italy's best saved secret').

How far our dream has come….

Before we were ready to welcome our first guests in the summer of 2006, there was much for us to do. Because this was a long-term project and we needed a fixed income, we choose to supervise the entire project from Holland with the help of contacts in Italy. To finance our property we have leased our farmland for 5 years to the farmer we purchased our house from. In exchange we receive a portion of the wine coming from our vineyard and olive oil from the olive orchard, both of which he makes himself.  In 2004 we succeeded in getting our permits, the funding for the renovation and commercial license for our estate as 'Country house'. The contractor and his crew started working at the end of 2004. On the first of July 2006 we opened our doors and were ready to welcome you.
